About Which Country Is Bigger?
Two familiar places can look very different when you see their sizes side by side.
Which Country Is Bigger? is an independent geography game built around that moment. You pick the larger of two named places, then watch the outlines change scale. A wrong answer gives you something to notice, not a reason to stop.
Start with the world, or somewhere you know
The country size game offers ten daily questions. You can also compare states, provinces and prefectures, focus on one continent, or put a home region beside a country. Smaller sets use five-question practice rather than another daily task.
You do not need to memorise a map before you play. Names are shown, there is no speed bonus, and you decide when to move on.
A browser game, without an account
The game runs on your device. It has no paid retries or global leaderboard. Daily progress and personal bests are saved in the browser, without automatic cloud backup. Sharing sends the questions you choose to share, not your full history. See privacy and local progress.
Open about the maps
Our outlines come from Natural Earth’s public-domain data. The game calculates and compares approximate mapped areas; it does not present them as official national statistics. The methodology page explains the calculation, source files, coverage and limitations.
This is a recreational map project, not an official geography authority. Source names and boundaries are used to make comparisons, not to make claims about sovereignty.
